Happy Caturday!
Welcome to my first intermew! Intermew and photos made possible by the wonderful:
Debbie Glovatsky
GLOGIRLY – Tails of Two Funny Cats & Their Girl
Thanks so much, Debbie, for the chance to chat with Katie. We had a lovely conversation about blogging, influences, and our mutual passions for wand toy time and Breaking Bad. Hope you enjoy!
Hazel: What advice do you have for bright young kittens building a social media presence?
Katie: Be certain to have a good staff in place. Food, litter box maintenance and uninterrupted wand toy time are essential. They should also be good typists. Humans are hard to train. Persistence is key. Just make sure they always know who’s in charge.
Hazel: Who has been your biggest inspiration and why?
Katie: I’m inspired by SO many of the internet’s and blogosphere’s kitties. Of course there are the biggies like Maru, Grumpy Cat and Sockington, but I follow hundreds of cat blogs, each inspiring in their own way. It’s too, too hard to name just one.
Hazel: What do you like to read or watch?
Katie: I love nature shows on TV. Polar Bears really do it for me. Even though my brother, Waffles, and I are a little young, we’re HUGE Breaking Bad fans. We break a LOT of stuff around here.
Hazel: How do you feel about the rise of feline power, and how do you see that power shaping the world in the future?
Katie: It’s about time the world caught up with us cats. I mean we’ve already overtaken the internet. The world would be a kinder, gentler place with a little more feline influence. I’m sure my girl would like to take regular naps during the day. I bet she’d even dig taking time out for a little wand toy action.
Hazel: Who would you love to have dinner with? What would you eat and where?
Katie: I’d just like to be able to eat without looking over my shoulder for Waffles the food thief. Oh, and fresh salmon please.
Hazel: What are some mistakes you have made, and what did they teach you?
Katie: Last year I ran for Cat Ruler of The World in a great fundraiser called Campaign For A Cause. I had two platforms. First was a pair of really cute pink suede platform sandals. But my real platform was just a smile. I pledged to my supporters to brighten their day with a giggle and a smile. And you know what?! It WORKED! I won…and I won over $7500 in food, supplies and cash for the kitties of Blind Cat Rescue.
Hazel: If you could say only one thing to a potential new or existing follower, what would you like them to know?
Katie: A smile can make all the difference.
Hazel: It does indeed, Katie. Thanks for sharing!
And thank YOU reader for reading! 🙂
Love,
Hazel
